Description

This presentation, geared for enthusiasts of all ages, will explore our solar system and review the amazing discoveries made by robotic spacecraft over the past decade and the questions we hope to address in the next decade. From the frozen water at Mercury’s poles to the slushy ices on Pluto, from our plans to explore the Moon’s south pole to the upcoming arrival of the Europa Clipper, come join us to visit the planets, moons, and the numerous icy- and rocky-debris in our solar neighborhood!
Admission: $8/adult; $6/child; $20/family
Nature Center doors open at 6:45pm.
Planetarium events in general are not recommended for children under 5.
About the Presenter:
Christine Shupla is the Science Engagement Manager at the Lunar and Planetary Institute, with 20 years of experience in planetary science education and 15 additional years of experience in planetariums. She and her team providing professional development and resources to support early career planetary researchers and to assist scientists and science educators in their efforts to engage audiences in STEM. Ms. Shupla has a Bachelor’s degree in Astronomy from UT Austin and a Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from UNC-Chapel Hill. She is working remotely from Santa Clara Pueblo, NM.
