Description

Are you new to iNaturalist, or frustrated that many of your observations aren’t getting confirmed or upgraded to Research Grade? In this combined classroom and field session, you will learn practical tips for making clear, identifiable observations and improving the usability of the ones you upload. We will explore what kinds of photos and details are most helpful, often more than just a single snapshot, and practice noticing the key characteristics that allow others to confidently confirm your identifications. The session begins indoors and then moves outside for hands-on observation practice. Both beginners and experienced users are welcome.

About the Presenter:

Craig Martin is an iNaturalist Ambassador who has recorded over 18,000 iNaturalist observations covering the lower 48 states.
