Urban Trail Plant ID Walk

This will be an easy walk along the new Urban Trail to learn about some of our local plant species. This accessible walk, led by local expert Chick Keller, will take place along the ADA-compliant paved trail. Expect a short walk, with an abundance of native plant species for the group to identify. Attendee space is limited, so please register ahead of time.

Please meet at the Los Alamos Nature Center to check in.

About the Presenter:

Dr. Chick Keller has been a fixture in Los Alamos since 1967 when he first came as a LASL student, and then as an employee from 1969 to 2001. For the last 13 years of his tenure, he was the Director of the University of California’s Institute of Geophysics and Planetary Physics-LANL branch. Chick is one of the founders of PEEC, having done everything from building shelves at the old PEEC, serving as PEEC Board President, to establishing the Jemez Mountain Herbarium.
