Description

Join us for a talk by Julien Ross, New Mexico Forecaster, OpenSnow.com, on predicting snowfall, chasing powder, and the outlook for the 2025-2026 winter season. Julien will provide the latest intel on whether we will see a weak La Niña or a "La Nada" and implications for Nuevo México. He will provide a live forecast of upcoming storms, walk through snow forecasting techniques, and which storm patterns bring more (or less) snow to the Jemez, Sangre de Cristos, and San Juan Mountains.  Plus, Julien will try to answer all of your questions and share brand-new features on OpenSnow that you may not know about.

About the Presenter:

Julien was born and raised in Santa Fe, New Mexico, and was introduced to skiing at age 7 through the public school subsidized ski program at Ski Santa Fe. It was love at first turn and Julien has been chasing powder and good mogul lines ever since. Julien grew up fascinated by weather and studied meteorology at Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff. He is going into his 6th season as the OpenSnow New Mexico Forecaster. Pajarito is one of Julien's most beloved home mountains.  https://opensnow.com/dailysnow/newmexic
