Description
Join us for May’s Climate Café, a welcoming, facilitator-guided space to reflect on our emotional responses to a changing climate. This month’s gathering will include a gentle forest bathing experience, with certified guide and PEEC staff member Beth Sanchez.
During this program we will slow down, connect with the natural world, and build a sense of emotional sanctuary together. Spending mindful time in nature can help ease climate grief by creating space to process difficult emotions, fostering a deeper sense of interconnectedness with the living world, and reducing the stress, anxiety, and rumination often associated with the climate crisis. Through quiet reflection, shared conversation, and time outdoors, we’ll explore ways nature can support resilience and wellbeing.
This gathering may include emotionally complex conversations as we talk openly about climate-related feelings.
Preregistration is encouraged, and drop-ins are welcome. Light refreshments, coffee, and tea will be available.
Everyone is invited to participate in whatever way feels comfortable. Due to the nature of these discussions, this program may not be appropriate for children under 16.
We hope you’ll be part of the conversation.
