Description
Join us on Sunday, August 9th for a special outing with Feminist Bird Club Albuquerque-Santa Fe and PEEC! Cool down at elevation in Los Alamos and see some great birds along the beautiful canyons. We will meet outside the Los Alamos Nature Center at 7:00am and then
proceed to the location of the walk.
About the Route:
We will begin at the Smith's with ample parking and proceed along the Canyon Rim Trail for about .75 mi. The trail is entirely paved except for a short optional piece. There is a mixture of shade and full sun exposure on this outing, with some moderate uphill portions. We expect to end by 10:00am.
About the Leader:
Feminist Bird Club Albuquerque–Santa Fe is a Chapter of Feminist Bird Club. We are an inclusive birding group dedicated to cultivating a community of birders that is safe for all identities, ages, and abilities, especially for queer and BIPOC birders.
