Description
Ignite your child's summer with excitement at PEEC! This outdoor adventure camp promises a thrilling connection with nature and the environment. From making new friends to exploring canyons around the Los Alamos Nature Center and Los Conchas trail in the Jemez mountains, your kid will have a blast playing, hiking, and discovering a love for the great outdoors on the vibrant Pajarito Plateau.
Pathfinders will be offered for two weeks in June 2024 and campers are welcome to register for one or both weeks. Each week will have a unique theme.
Week 1 of Pathfinders is PEECachu camp:
Embark on a Pokemon-inspired nature adventure this summer, where the magic of Pokemon meets the great outdoors. Campers will use Pokemon characters to discover how real wild animals survive and thrive on the Pajarito Plateau. The group will engage in card game battles and fun hikes that inspire campers to use their imagination and deepen their relationship with nature.
Pathfinders is guided by seasoned environmental educators with First Aid certification, ensuring a safe experience for every camper. Our experienced team designs camps that holistically address each participant's physical, mental, and emotional well-being, fostering a transformative and enriching summer experience.
The camp meets daily, Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 4 PM. Campers must be dropped off at Los Alamos Nature Center between 8:45 and 9:00 AM and picked up between 4:00 and 4:15 PM each day. Participants must be entering grades 1, 2, or 3 in fall 2024.
