Rise & Hike

Start your Friday with fresh air, good company, and a hike to explore our local trails! Rise & Hike is a weekly group outing that explores a variety of trails around the Pajarito Plateau. These easy to moderate hikes typically cover 2–3 miles and include some elevation gain or uneven terrain. The pace is steady, but there’s always time to pause for wildlife sightings, striking views, or moments of reflection.

Participants should bring water, sturdy hiking shoes or boots, appropriate clothing layers, and anything else you need to stay comfortable and safe outdoors.

In the event of inclement weather, the hike may be canceled. To stay updated on meeting locations, route details, and cancellations, email publicity@peecnature.org to request to join the Rise & Hike Google Group. Notices are typically sent by 8 AM on Fridays.
