Description

Nature at Night is a new, free weekly program at the Los Alamos Nature Center. On Wednesday evenings, the nature center will stay open late with themed activities, crafts, games, and outdoor exploration for all ages.

Week 1: Night Hike + Nocturnal Animals
Step into the darkness to discover how nighttime creatures thrive and end the evening with a guided night hike under the stars.
Week 2: Snow + Watershed
Explore the science of snow and why it matters, then follow its journey through our watershed with hands‑on indoor activities and snowy experiments if the weather cooperates.
Week 3: Energy Efficiency in Your Home
Learn how to keep your home cozy and efficient through hands‑on insulation demos, temperature investigations, and take‑home energy‑saving kits.
Week 4: Animal Signs
Become a nature detective as you investigate animal clues outdoors, examine tracks and scat, and create your own wildlife sign crafts.
