Description
Join us on Sunday, August 9th for a special outing with Feminist Bird Club Albuquerque-Santa Fe and PEEC! Cool down at elevation in Los Alamos and see some great birds along the beautiful canyons. We will meet outside the Los Alamos Nature Center at 7:00am and then proceed to the location of the walk.
About the Route: We will begin at the Smith's with ample parking and proceed along the Canyon Rim Trail for about .75 mi. The trail is entirely paved except for a short optional piece. There is a mixture of shade and full sun exposure on this outing, with some moderate uphill portions. We expect to end by 10:00am.
Bring binoculars, a camera (optional), snacks, and water. We do have a few binoculars available to lend out.
This birding trip is limited to 15 participants, so register soon!
Participants should plan on meeting at Los Alamos Nature Center 7:00 AM.

Elevation Gain: Less than 50ft, mostly paved.
